Engage students, encourage teamwork and expand learning opportunities with the Discovery Program!
The Discovery Program! was designed to introduce high school students to a variety of future career paths in the manufacturing sector, while encouraging them to have fun experiencing first-hand the manufacturing process, from research and development through to product launch!
By using their education, creativity and innovation, student teams will use supplied parts to design and build a radio controlled hovercraft and prepare a written business plan, allowing them to demonstrate the 9 Essential Skills required for success in the workplace.
Student teams will participate in the province wide semi-finals for an opportunity to move on to the Finals where they will be competing for scholarships and bursaries sponsored in part by; Red River College, University of Manitoba, and Winnipeg Technical College
