Manitoba's manufacturing sector continues to stay the course, holding steady with a number of ‘Good News' stories to tell despite the unpredictable turns in the North American and global markets.
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters would like to feature four new "Dare to Compete" champions from our manufacturing sector who continue to focus on the positive and how to direct their companies to excel in every area of production. The one thing these four Champions have in common is their determination to succeed and to always strive to deliver excellence, whether that is product based, through the implementation of efficient new technology or by recognizing the need to have a truly educated and skilled workforce.
Our vision for Manitoba manufacturing is for CME as the business association to be at the hub of a "Centre of Excellence", a virtual connected network best linking Manitoba manufacturers to each other, suppliers, resources, customers, and the community. This vision would ensure global competitiveness and a more secure future for Manitoba. To that end, we have proposed a "Centre of Excellence" initiative managed by CME and funded by industry and the federal and provincial governments. The Centre of Excellence (COE) initiative is designed to provide support to manufacturers seeking to become world-class and globally competitive through improving productivity, technology, trade and human resource development.
CME wants to ensure that all current and future needs of manufacturing companies are addressed through a range of both existing and new resources. As the network hub, CME works as the catalyst, promoter and facilitator of these connections, making Manitoba the leading manufacturing and exporting location.
We challenge all Manitoba manufacturers to join the leaders in the rally to success as they "Dare To Compete."
